Our CEO Helen has been invited to join the prestigious DataIQ 100 power list

  • Accolade confirms CEO of the Vulnerability Registration Service one of the most influential people in data

Helen will be joining the 2022 edition of the prestigious DataIQ 100 – the only fully-curated power list of chief data officers, chief analytics officers, data scientists, data governance experts and the leaders of key vendors and service providers.

Helen was selected for her commitment to changing the way society’s most vulnerable people are treated by the organisations that have a duty of care towards them, through data sharing and the use of data for better identification of vulnerability.

She has been the driving force behind the organisation’s work with both regulators and organisations in different sectors, including banking, financial services, mobile phone providers, utilities, housing and local government, to engage and encourage the sharing of data on vulnerable people. She has also led the creation of unique partnerships with organisations such as the Illegal Money Lending Team, to help protect people who have become victims of loan sharks. This is data that no one else holds.

The Vulnerability Registration Service’s presence, relevance and impact has been growing significantly as a result and the organisation is rapidly gaining recognition as a disruptor in this space.

Commenting on Helen’s successful nominations, David Reed, knowledge and strategy director at DataIQ, said: “As the pandemic revealed, there is a critical need for organisations to identify vulnerable individuals so they can develop appropriate services to support them. Helen and her team have introduced a vital new dataset into the data eco-system and are paving new routes to the market to make this data accessible across all sectors. We are delighted to have Helen join the DataIQ 100 community as someone leading and influencing the data industry.”

Commenting on her new position on the DataIQ 100 list, Helen Lord, CEO of the Vulnerability Registration Service, said: “We have been beating the drum to the bring the same level of importance to sharing data on vulnerable people as sharing credit, fraud or affordability data. It is the only way to protect them from further harm and every organisation that has vulnerable customers has a role to play. Being invited to join the 2022 edition of the DataIQ 100 is recognition of our work, and I am delighted to accept.”
