Who attended?

The range of organisations in attendance at the VRS Conference 2026 shows just how broad and interconnected the vulnerability landscape has become. Attendees ranged from frontline charities, debt advice organisations and community support services, to major banks, insurers, utilities, energy providers and water companies.

They were joined by enforcement bodies, credit reference agencies, fintech innovators, data and analytics specialists, housing associations, regulators including the FCA, Ofgem, Ofwat and the ICO, as well as research institutions, local authorities, training providers and technology partners.

This mix of operational practitioners, policy leaders, compliance specialists, behavioural scientists, customer experience teams and digital transformation experts reflects a sector-wide commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable people through collaboration, insight and shared responsibility.

Resources from the day

Through keynote presentations, panel sessions, real‑world case studies, and collaborative discussions, the VRS Conference 2026 explored what truly effective vulnerability support looks like in practice.

It looked vulnerability from a cross-sector, holistic, macro level, breaking down the challenges, identifying the opportunities to collaborate, and asking what the future looks like in terms of regulation and technology, including how we can integrate existing solutions into vulnerability aware, customer care.

Delegates gained fresh insight into how shared data, early identification, and cross‑sector cooperation can transform outcomes for people facing difficult circumstances.
